Stars of the Season (Summer, 2019)

Summer has ended, and for probably the first time in my life, I’m actually happy about it.

If you’ve been following my blog, you know that this was a hell of a summer for me, and that had its effect both on my blog and the number of books I’v read. Hopefully autumn will bring some positivity.

I can’t complain about the quality of the books I’ve read, though, because most of them ended up on this list of best books of the season – meaning, most of the were good enough to get a 4.5 and up rating from me. (Or I was simply desperate to get out of the real world. Who knows.)

Too see which books were these great ones, read forward! 😉

If you want to read about the best books of the previous seasons, here’s the list:

Summer, 2018

Autumn, 2018

Winter, 2018/19

Spring, 2019

‘In Your Silence’ by Grace Lowrie

I expected this book a bit different than it turned out to be, but it was amazing anyways! A bit of mystery, a bit of romance, and great relationship development! If that sounds like your thing: it’s really worth a read!

‘The Repenting Serpent’ by Wes Markin

I was already waiting for the release of this sequel for ‘One Last Prayer for the Rays’ , and it didn’t disappoint! A story full of twists and turns and excitement with great writing… this book was able to get me back to reading when I was at a terrible place mentally.

‘Storytellers’ by Bjorn Larssen

An interestingly unique story and setting, and bittersweetly real characters. And may I say, such a beautiful cover? This whole book is a piece of art, really.

‘Absinthe: The Exquisite Elixir’ by Betina J. Wittels, T.A. Breaux

29502247

A very interesting and well-written book about a drink that has way more history than I would’ve thought!

Have you read any of the books on my list? Did you like them, too?

I hop you could find some reading tips here, as well! 😉

Have a wonderful Sunday, and a happy beginning of Autumn!

Hugs 🙂
