This greek theme is seeming to go on on my blog these days, and I don't really know which is the cause and which is the consequense, but I'm happy to announce that while being in this mood I've had a chance to realize this dream: I have a little holiday (finally) and I'm flying to Athens for a week with my... well, by the time you read this, he's not my boyfriend anymore...
If you payed attention, you might already have noticed that I've been not very active regarding the two challenges I've decided to do. That doesn't mean at all that I've completely avoided them, though I'm pretty sure it looks like that. Truth be told, this year has not turned out to be exactly what I expected. Life's like this, I know, and I don't say it with the intention of complaining. I wouldn't even say it's bad. It's not. It's just that my reading greatly suffers from it, and even what I read, and when, and under what circumstances has changed a bit. But! I still want to complete these challenges (The Untouched Bookshelf Challenge, and The British Crime Classics Challenge), though the scheduling must obviously change a great deal. That's okay, I guess. So, what I wanted to share my idea about reading a certain book that would somehow add to both of my challenges!
For a long time I couldn't decide which book to start with from my extremely long unread physical books list. Finally, I decided by 'The Hobbit'. I didn't realize at first, but this is also the book that has been on my shelf unread for the longest time. For 14 years has this book, one that seemingly every other people like me has read already, been sitting on my shelf, waiting to be finally discovered. Not anymore. I finished it, and here are my thoughts about my experience with it!
I really talk about a rather small change, and I'm hoping that it will make things less complicated, and will be no problems anymore.
Welcome to my The Untouched Bookshelf Challenge! As I promised, my crazy long list of owned physical books to be read is here!
Do you have books on your shelves that you haven't read? Not even once? Do you have a lot...? Are there books that you own and would like to read, or you know you should, but they somehow always happen to fall behind on your ever-growing TBR list? The answer for how to finally get to them is here: THE UNTOUCHED BOOKSHELF CHALLANGE!
