Today I bring you a historical novel that's set in the 5th century, in the chaotic times after the Roman Empire has fallen. I discovered this book because of the blog tour, thanks to Rachel's Random Resources. Let's drink a hot coffee (or tea, if that suits your taste better), and read everything there is to know about the book, including my review! 😉
I admit that I haven't (YET!) read 'Blueberry Pancakes', but it sounds amazing: you probably know that music is my soft spot, and it makes this book super attracting to me! Also, it sounds like a beautiful story of a gay guy finding his way in life and love, and that's something I'm all for, too. So, I agreed to do this promo post for Shalini and the Digital Reads Blog Tours. Let's see what this book is about!
'Life, Death And Cellos' is a book about amateur musicians, and how could I have say no to that? I agreed to a blog tour before I read the book - the tour ended up being a three-day blitz, but who cares? I have the same job in it! 😀 Music is my soft spot, and of course I decided to take this book ahead of my TBR. I'm always in the mood for some quick musical read! Let's see what it's all about!
What better there is in a terrible, cold, wet weather (when all day seems to be evening and you can't decide if the thing falling from the grey clouds is rain or snow) than taking a journey into a mystery novel set in sweet and fun Hawaii? Well, I can think of a lot of things that are great to do, but this was definitely one of them!
Today, as I promised in this silly little poem last week, my blog is one of the stops at the blog tour for The Kooky Kids' Club! Let's dive in and see what my journey into this awesome middle grade book was like!
I woke up the other day and with tasty coffee in the mouth, I clicked to open my mail - and this is what I found:
It might be too much of an in medias res introduction, but I feel like I should start this post with saying: this is the perfect November read. If you haven't read it yet, please do! Why, should you ask. Well... Let's see.
