Monday Moodlifter #1 (of 2019)

Hey Guys,

how is it going today?

I’m not a huge fan of the ‘new year, new life’ philosophy (I believe we don’t really need a new year as an excuse to change something we think needs to be changed – we can and should do it whenever we want), but his year is going to be like that for me.

It’s not new years resolutions, but the fact that I’m about to start working as a doctor, and I am going to do it in a foreign country. Which is fantastic, and I want this, but getting closer…. it’s starting to freak me out. Yes, guys, I’m pretty much shitting my pants.

At the same time, I can’t wait to do it! It’s all very controversial and comes in waves – I really feel like I need a constant moodlifter, so I can stay on the top of it: I want to stay on the optimistic side.

Fortunately, I have my boyfriend on my side, I have my books, and I have supporting friends and family, so most of the time I can. And if not, there are still the little things that matter (and help), like music, or animals.

I’m pretty sure many of you feel like this about something in your lives, so I’ll share these things below with you, maybe they make you smile, as well! πŸ˜‰

1. The holiday laziness starts to get over, thus we’re having published a TON of books this week!

2. Music ❀

3. Sweet, sweet little animals! ❀

    1. It does sound great! I don’t have the book, though, so if I’ll ever write a review for it, it will be sometime later. 😊 I’m moving to Germany. πŸ˜‰πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ

      1. No, I don’t. I haven’t got the ebook either. (and I’m currently on a non-buying ban until I read all my physical copies I already own… I’m terrible at it, though. I have no idea how long I can keep on going with itπŸ˜…)
Spain sounds great! I’d be glad to hear from you, what it’s gonna be like for you. I’m planning on staying in Germany long-term, but I don’t want to name any exact length until I see what’s it’s like and if it’s working for me.

      2. So, how many handbooks do you have now? I still having 8 unread but that quantity is going to expand.
I’ve never been to Germany and want to hear anything from you being there. However, I’m going for studies and will be in Spain just for a half of a year. Then, you’ve got great plans of moving! I’m quite delighted. Hope everything will go superb and you’ll have fun!

      3. Well, I have 66 that I haven’t yet read, so it’s gonna take a while πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚ I’ve never been to Spain, but I want to! Maybe someday. Half a year is not so much, but it’s more than enough to get the feel for the place.. I hope you’re gonna enjoy your time there!

      4. Most of them were gifts I think, and then I had a couple of binge-buying adventures while I was in university, and of course I haven’t had enough time to read them all πŸ˜…
I’d so love to see all Europe one day! I’ve been to many countries, but there are way more where I haven’t been!

      5. Some people from my environment think that I’m quite strange asking them about getting books as a gift. But I’m collecting handbooks and was able to make one shelf full of them.
Not sure I’d be in every country in Europe, but really love to.

      6. Well, not living in all countries, of course, but I think visiting at least a bit would be doable. Obviously not in only a couple of years, but in a whole lifetime it’s possible πŸ˜…

  1. I love the kitten so cute. Perfect mood lifter Dora
Dora, as a doc, I can tell you one thing, patients are the same all over the world, most if them just need kindness and the doctor to listen to them.
The hospital and politics need to be minded. You are a very sweet person so I am sure you wouldn’t rock the cart too much. I am a regular bull in the China shop, hence most hospitals admin never liked me. I am very sure you are going to shine as a doctor. So I am already proud of knowing a sweet fellow doc like you. You are far better than I ever was

    1. Shalini, my dear, thank you so much for your kind words! ❀️ I’m pretty sure you are an amazing doctor, that depends on the well-being of your patients, and not hospital politics πŸ˜‰ talking about me, I just hope I’m gonna understand them while listening πŸ˜‚ I only started learning German only a bit more than a year ago πŸ˜…
