Monday Moodlifter

How’s your Monday going?

Today, August 20 is a national holiday in Hungary, so we have a long weekend! (I know, you hate me now. Sorry.) This is Saint Stephen’s Day, our very first king’s, who made his people practice Christianity (forced actually), and made other changes to the work of these pagan tribes, thus establishing a Christian state here in the middle of Europe that the surrounding countries and empires tolerated. I’m not a religious person at all, but this was really something that helped our people survive and not to get lost among all the different ethnicities and tribes and let’s be honest, chaos of the 9th century’s Europe.

It sounds exciting, but the celebration is not that big of a deal. It’s like having another Sunday, you almost only notice that less shops are open. πŸ˜… There are some programs in most towns, like local artist performing, and maybe fireworks in the evening, but that’s all. It gets boring over the year.

The weather is so hot, though, it’s nice to have an extra day all for the beach! 😎

Because I know most of you have a way worse day, and I don’t want you to be sad or angry or anxious so much, here are my moodlifters for this day, too:

1. Crazy amount of new books are released this week again!

Look:

You can find the list of the books and reviews about them: here!

If you have a review about a book released this week, just say so, and I’ll add your link to the post as well! πŸ˜‰

2. Exactly 160 years ago, Charles Darwin first published his a theory of evolution in a journal.

Inspiring, isn’t it? So, don’t be afraid to learn something new every day! Evolve! πŸŒΉπŸ’β˜ΊοΈ

3. Music is always a good way to lift up your mood!

4. This is my boyfriend’s father’s cat.

Ain’t he very cute??

I could just pet him all day long.

I hope I could make your Monday a little better! ☺️

Remember to hug someone today, and never stop smiling! πŸ˜‰

  1. Nice!! πŸ‘ŒEnjoy your free time! πŸ˜‰ I’m not doing much either, since it’s really hot here, so we only dare to live the house in the evening for some local concerts and fireworks… I’m reading until then 😁
